Some funny stuff guys.
For those about to listen: “smaller houses.”
Great podcast. I would like to comment on the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. I have played the whole game and I agree that the game do not deserve high 9’s for it. It’s probably the best superhero game based on a comic book character but inFAMOUS is the best superhero game. It was a 8.5 to me because it dropped the ball in some main areas for me.
The things I liked were the game looked good for an Unreal Engine game. I liked the Riddler puzzles throughout the game. The stealth in the game was great and it had a pretty good story to it.
Things that i did not like:
Some of the boss battles were pretty repetitive in the game. Bane and the Titan Hechmen were the same boss battles throughout the game. There were no differences in how to take own those battles. The same old pattern to them. Even at the end of the game it did not change up at all.
The last boss battle with the Joker was pretty wack. Hes just a big ass Bane Joker swinging his arms around, then he goes up to the helicopter while the henchmen fight you, then you have to pull him down with a batclaw 3 times then it is it.
Detective Mode was cool for me. But they could have been a little more creative with being a detective like in MGS4 when you have to find Naomi with the Night Vision Goggles. There was nothing like that with detective mode. It just gave you everything. Even with trailing the blood or fingerprints there was nothing thrown at you to make you think like a detective like MGS4 did.
The boss battle with Killer Croc was cheesy as hell. He just jumps out of the water every 20 seconds and you have to hit him with a Batarang. every time. That was a joke of a boss battle.
When I look at other sites reviews they would have criticize other games especially PS3 exclusives if there were problems like the ones I just mention in the game. There are other thing that I like or did not like but I can’t remember them just now.
Keep up the great podcasts.
That’s exactly it. I love Batman. I love BAA.
But for it to deserve the scores it’s getting it needs to have more depth than it has. Killer Croc was a great idea, it is a little scary, but for it to continue being scary they needed to switch things up.
They didn’t, that’s why it doesn’t belong in ‘AAA’ status.
I really hope Rocksteady get to do the next Batman game.
